History

The Loyola Karate Club was founded in 1986. After more than two decades, the Karate Club has the distinction of consistently being the largest non-Greek club at Loyola. Furthermore, it has one of the highest alumni participations of any club on campus.

However, LUKC does not limit itself to the dojo--the club also hosts many social events throughout the school year. These include bonfires, dojo lock-ins, bowling, game nights, and ski trips.

In addition, the Karate Club has been holding fundraisers and raising money to help support St. Jude's Research Hospital. St. Jude's is a not-for-profit organization that treats children living with cancer. The organization never asks the family to pay for any of the treatment and survives solely on donations. If you'd like to learn more about St. Jude's go to St. Jude's.
