Our Workout

The Karate Club provides an opportunity for interested people to learn the art of Karate in a formal, fun, and controlled manner. We have many experienced instructors all with a wide variety of Martial Arts knowledge. From self-defense to physical fitness, we strive to enhance the mind, body, and soul of every student.

Our Club focuses on realistic self-defense by way of Jujutsu (Grappling and Small-Joint Manipulation), Te (Empty-Hand Striking), and Kobujutsu (Weapons Combat and Defense)

Each workout consists of a warm-up and physical conditioning, the teaching and refinement of techniques, and a brief meeting to discuss club business. This is followed by an open workout which allows for sparring, grappling, and the further refinement of technique.

Seminars and Focused Classes

Throughout each semester different Sensei (Black-Belt Instructors) give either a seminar or a focused class on a wide range of topics. These can include weapons combat, meditation, defense from the ground, defense against armed and multiple attackers, and other topics by special request.

Dates and details for Seminars and Focused Classes will be posted on the Events page.
